Recovering from an Upgrade Failure

If an upgrade to version 5.15.0 failed, use the steps below to restore the previous version.

Steps:
  1. Back up upgrade log files.

    Back up log files that were generated when the upgrade failed. The log files are required for troubleshooting the failure. For details on the log files to be backed up, refer to Checking the Log File.

  2. Uninstall Garoon.

    Select "Complete uninstallation" for the uninstallation option.
    For details, refer to Uninstallation.

  3. Install the previous version of Garoon as a new instance.

    If any Service Pack was applied to the previous Garoon instance, apply the same Service Pack to the new instance.
    For details on how to install Garoon version 5.9.0 or earlier, refer to Installation Guide.

  4. Restore backed up Garoon data.

    Restore the backed up data of the previous Garoon instance to the new Garoon instance that you installed in step 3.
