Image Files Are Not Displayed Properly

Article Number:01065

This section describes how to troubleshoot a problem when images such as icons are not displayed properly on Cybozu products. Screen capture

If icons and GIF images are not displayed on the screen, possible causes are as follows.

  • The handler mapping settings are not correct
  • The document root directory settings are not correct
  • The image directory does not exist under the document root directory
  • The access permissions of the image files/directories are not correct
  • When you use Remote Service
After upgrading the Cybozu product to which Remote Service is connected, you have not updated the product information in Remote Service Manager

The Handler Mapping Settings Are Not Correct

Confirm whether or not the handler mappings are properly set based on the steps below.

The Document Root Directory Settings Are Not Correct

The document root directory (home directory) has been specified on the WEB server you are using.
Confirm whether the documentation root directory of the product match the document root directory specified in the Web server.
You can confirm the document root directory of the product on the "Product Execution Environment" screen in the system settings.
If the settings for the document root directories do not match, change the settings of the WEB server.

The Image Directory Does Not Exist under the Document Root Directory

If your document root directory settings are correct, confirm that the GIF images exist under the document root directory.
Images, such as icons used in the product, are saved under the document root directory.
Confirm the "file structure" page in each product manual, and check that the images are saved under the "image" folder in the document root directory.

If the images do not exist, reinstall the product.
For the document root directory settings on installation, specify the document root directory that has been confirmed in the "Product Execution Environment" screen in the system settings.

The Access Permissions of the Image Files/Directories Are Not Correct

If a GIF image exists under the document root directory but the image file is not displayed, check the access permissions of the image file/directory.

The image files used for the product must be set to be readable by the user who starts the Web server.
On Linux, change the owner of the files/directories to the user who starts the Web server and set the permission to 500, for example.

For details, refer to Setting Access Permissions to Use Products.
