Setting up Your Internet Explorer 11

Enabling TLS 1.1 And Later

In Cybozu cloud services, for the purpose of enhancing security, TLS 1.0 (internet encryption method) is disabled on or after June 10, 2018.
Therefore, Cybozu cloud services are not available from environments that do not support TLS 1.1 or later.
Please check whether your environment supports TLS 1.1 or later.

  1. Start your Web browser, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.

  2. Click Advanced on the "Internet Options" screen. Image showing the position of the Advanced tab
  3. In the Security section, confirm that the Use TLS 1.1 and the Use TLS 1.2 check boxes are selected.
    If these check boxes are not selected, select the Use TLS 1.1 and the Use TLS 1.2 check boxes, and click OK to save the changes. Image of the setting screen to enable TLS 1.1 and later

Enabling JavaScript

Enable the Active Scripting.

  1. Start your Web browser and log in to your cloud service or on-premise product.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.

  3. Select the Security tab and click Custom Level.
    Corresponding zone to your cloud service or on-premise product is automatically selected. You do not need to change the zone. Image of clicking the Custom Level

Enabling Cookies

Configure to accept cookies sent from the server.

  1. Start your Web browser, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.

  2. Click the Privacy tab on the "Internet Options" screen.

  3. Check the settings based on your environment.

    • For Windows 10:

    2. For First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies, select Accept.
    3. Select the Always allow session cookies check box, and click OK. Image of Cookie setting screen
    • For Windows 8.1:
    1. Set the slider to Medium or lower, and click OK.

Cache Settings

Configure settings to check for newer versions of stored pages every time you visit webpages.

  1. Start your Web browser, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.

  2. Select the General tab and click Settings under Browsing history. Image of the Internet options
  3. Select the Temporary Internet Files tab, and then select Every time I visit the webpage and click OK. Image of Web site data settings

Disabling Compatibility View

Internet Explorer 8 or later provides "Compatibility View", which is a mode for displaying pages designed for older Web browsers.
The Compatibility View mode may not display Web pages correctly.

Cybozu products do not support Internet Explorer with Compatibility View enabled.
You must disable the Compatibility View mode when using Cybozu products.

  1. Start your Web browser, click Tools, and then click Compatibility View Settings.

  2. If you added any Cybozu product to Websites you've added to Compatibility View, select that site and click Remove. Image of removing the Web site that was added to the Compatibility View

  4. Check the changes you made and click Close.
