What Can Be Done with the Notifications Feature
When you set notification conditions, notifications are sent to app users in the following cases:
- When app data is processed
Example: When data (record) is added to an app
Setting Up Notifications with Conditions of Actions on Apps (General Notifications)
- When app data satisfies a certain condition
Example: When the amount of over one million yen is entered to a expense item
Setting Notifications to Be Sent When Records Meet a Certain Condition (Per Record Notifications Settings)
- When there is an overdue date/time in the Date and time item
Example: When one of the dates passes the date entered in a due date item for To-Dos
Setting Reminder Notifications with Date and Time Conditions (Reminder Notification Settings)
App notifications are displayed as "To Me" notifications on the recipient user's portal (kintone top page) or on the Notifications page.
Also, if the e-mail notifications feature is enabled by the kintone administrator, notifications are sent by e-mail to users who enable e-mail notifications in their personal settings.
For notification recipients, departments, groups, or users can be specified.
When the user selection field is set in a form, users who are selected in that field can also be notification recipients.
By default, when a comment is posted to a record, the notification is sent to the following users:
- User who created the record
- User who previously posted any comment to the record
