Related Records

You can list records that match the condition specified, by using a Related records field. This field is useful when you want to display related information together on the same screen, since you can display records stored in another app and in the same app.

For example, you can place a "Related records" field in the Customer Management app, and then specify the Activity History app as a Datasource App that you look data for. As a result, you will be able to retrieve and display a list of data from the Activity History app when adding a record in the Customer Management app. Related Records field

  • Lookup fields
Configuring a Lookup field enables you to reference a record in a different app and retrieve (copy) it from the app.
One of the benefits of using the field is that you can avoid typing errors and reduce the time of data entry because you do not need to enter the same data again.

  • App Actions
You can use the App Actions feature to copy record data to another app or to the same app, to create a new record.

By combining the Lookup field, the Related records field, and the App Actions feature, you can integrate data across multiple apps, thus enabling more efficient use of kintone.

For details on how to set the Related Records field, refer to the Setting Related Records page.

You can show a project list or an activity history for each client in the customer management app.
Also, you can show the detail of the specific record from the Related Records. Customer management app example
