The name of the user who saved the record is automatically populated in this field.
You cannot change values in Created by.
Even when the Created by field is not placed on a form, it is automatically displayed when some actions are taken (for example, when filtering records).

By placing a Created by field in a Daily Report app, you can display the name of the user who entered the daily report data.
