If you export data to a CSV file using "Tab," "Space," or "Semicolon" as a delimiter and open the file in excel, all the data in a record may be combined into a single cell.

You can split data in a record into each cell by specifying an appropriate delimiter when importing a CSV file in Excel.

To import a CSV file in Excel, perform the following steps.
Note that the menu names and operations may vary depending on which version of Excel you are using.

  1. Open a new Excel workbook.

  2. Click Data tab, then click Get Data.

  3. Click From File, then click From Text/CSV.

  4. On the "Import Data" screen, select the CSV file to import.

  5. On the preview screen, select the same delimiter as the one in your CSV file for "Delimiter" and click Load.

Make sure that data of a record is imported into each cell.
