Tentative Reorganization
"Tentative Reorganization" is a feature that enables you to pre-register data in advance that you want to change before actually applying significant changes to the user/department data. You can apply the pre-registered data to your domain on the predefined date and time.
For example, if you plan to have an organizational change or some transfers of employees on April 1, you can pre-register the data change before April 1 and apply the changes to your domain on April 1.
What You Can Do Using Tentative Reorganization
The following actions can be pre-registered in Tentative Reorganization.
- Add, edit, delete, or reorder departments
- Add, edit, delete, or reorder job titles
- Change the following items in user information
- Department(s)
- Job Titles
- Priority Department
- Status
- Display Order
What You Cannot Do Using Tentative Reorganization
Tentative Reorganization does not support the following actions:
- Create pre-registered data using a file or an API
- Pre-register users to be added or deleted
Actions You Cannot Perform after Creating Pre-registered Data
The following actions cannot be performed in your domain:
- Migrate data from on-premise version
- Perform the following actions on departments and job titles
- Add
- Change Password
- Delete
- Reorder
- Update data using a file or an API
How to Change the Data in Your Domain after Creating a Pre-registered Data
To change departments and job titles
When pre-registered data exists, the departments and job titles already used in your domain cannot be changed.
If you perform one of the actions below, you will be able to change the departments and job titles in your domain.
- Apply the pre-registered data to your domain
- Delete the pre-registered data
To add a new user
New users can be added to your domain even if pre-registered data exists.
In the pre-registered data, the newly-added users will be treated as "Users Not Yet Assigned". To configure users' departments, change the user information in the pre-registered data.
To change user information
User information can be changed in your domain even if pre-registered data exists.
However, the following items of user information such as users' departments and job titles should be changed in the pre-registered data.
What You Can Do Using Tentative Reorganization
To delete users
Users can be deleted from your domain even if pre-registered data exists.
The deleted users will also be deleted from the pre-registered data.
