Creating a virtual directory on IIS 7.0 or 7.5

This section describes how to create a virtual directory on IIS 7.0 or 7.5.
The following procedures assume that Dezie is installed on IIS 7.0:

STEP1:Launch IIS Manager.

  1. From the Windows Start menu, select "Control Panel" > "System and Maintenance" > "Administrative Tools" > "Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager".
  2. Click "Continue".

STEP2:Set CGI restrictions.

  1. In the "Home" pane, select "ISAPI and CGI Restrictions" under the "Security" category, and click "Open Feature".
  2. Click "Edit Feature Settings".
  3. Set the CGI restrictions and click "OK".
    Select "Allow unspecified CGI modules".

STEP3:Create a virtual directory.

  1. Right-click "Default Web Site" in the tree, and select "Add Virtual Directory".
  2. Enter the alias, specify the location of the virtual directory, and click "OK".
An alias is a short name that a user can assign to a target directory.
For example, if you specify "cybozu" as an alias, you can easily access the directory from the following URL: http://(server name)/cybozu
In "physical path", specify the installation directory of Dezie.
You can enter the path manually, or click "・・" to specify the directory.
  3. From the tree on the left, select the virtual directory created in the step 1, select "Handler Mappings" under the "Server Components" category, and then click "Open Feature".
  4. Set the access permissions.
Select "CGI-exe", and click "Edit Feature Permissions".
  5. Select "Execute", and then click "OK".
